I love a good facial. They are the ultimate treat and right up there on my list of the best ways to pamper myself (next to chocolate, massages and a nice glass of pinot grigio). To be completely honest though, I don’t indulge in them all that often, mainly because it’s hard to find the time, but also because facials have on occasion caused me to break out.
So when Ellen at BeautiQue invited Sassy to try one of their facials, I’ll admit I was a little reluctant. But, with the recent Hong Kong humidity wreaking havoc on my skin I figured I had nothing to lose, plus who can resist a little pampering?
Tucked away in on the 8th floor of an office tower on Queens Road, this little spa is an unassuming hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and after battling the lunchtime crowds to get there I felt truly relieved to arrive.
Ellen, the spa manager, has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry (so you know you are in great hands) and uses a range of products from Sothy’s and Swiss Perfection. After a quick assessment of my skin Ellen decided to give me the basic facial from Swiss Perfection. The products smelt absolutely amazing and while the extraction part of the facial hurt a little, the included arm, neck and shoulder massage more than made up for it! I totally zoned out and completely forgot that the chaos of Queens Road was only a few floors below.
It’s now been a week since I had my treatment and I have to say I’m impressed. I was a little red immediately after the facial (probably from the extractions) but it only lasted an hour or so and my skin is now noticeably clearer (“all glowy” as one dear friend put it). I haven’t had any facial induced breakouts and I can see a huge difference. I will definitely be making more time for regular treatments from now on!
BeautiQue doesn’t have a website but their facial treatments range from $700 to $2,500. They also offer a range of other services including:
