An evening to DIE for

Breaking News: On 26 July, 2017, tragedy struck within the Sassy community – someone was murdered! But don’t worry, that tends to happen at a murder mystery party. Team Sassy gathered on Bonham Road at Crafted 852 (formerly Umami Concepts) to investigate the ruthless crime (and have dinner and a couple drinks it is called the Sassy Social, after all).

Sassy Social Murder Mystery

Led by Harbour Secrets, an entertainment events company specialising in murder mystery parties and themed events, we embarked on our journey to the past. Before the big night, each Sassy girl received a top-secret email explaining their character’s background story and the role they played in the murder. Characters ranged from British nobility, to ladies of the night (who knew Simran, Surmayee and Bea were so scandalous?), and members of the triad (trust us you definitely don’t want to mess with Roxanne, or should we say, ‘Mr. See’?)

The minute we walked through the doorway of Crafted 852 we entered the world of Suzie Wong. The summer of 1966 was both hot and humid for Hong Kong. The Lomax’s, of British nobility, were hosting a cocktail party at the Mandarin Oriental when they heard the news of their daughter’s kidnapping (and, later, death). Mrs. Lomax (our host from Harbour Secrets) was seated on the sofa, clearly distraught. Arriving in character, we headed for the dining table where we spent the remainder of the evening investigating between bites and sips.

Crafted 852 provided us with a delicious three-course meal – and a dessert than was essentially whipped cream with maple syrup (how could you go wrong?). We had the pleasure of sipping on some Teeling Spiced Tea, made from the leading Irish Whisky brand – Teeling Whisky, vanilla liqueur, lemon juice, apple & cinnamon syrup, and chamomile tea which we all enjoyed throughouly.

Over the course of two hours, we wined, dined and solved a murder. It was a great bonding experience for the team, and definitely gets the Sassy stamp of approval!

Sassy tip: make sure to allow plenty of time book your murder mystery in advance so the good folks at Harbour Secrets can prepare a night to remember. Dinner costs are not included, but Harbour Secrets partners with a variety of private dining groups and can arrange the dinner on behalf of its guests.
