Celebrate The Year of the Pig With Pacific Place: Shopping Rewards, Incredible Displays and more

Head to premier lifestyle hub, Pacific Place now and immerse yourself in its Chinese New Year “Where Fortune Takes Flight” celebrations, with spectacular performances, shopping rewards and special gifts of fortune!

Chinese New Year is one of our favourite times of the year (and not just because we get a extra few days off work!). Over the three-day celebrations, and all month long, the city comes alive with incredible displays, lion dances, traditional feasting and so much more, and this year, Pacific Place is pulling out all the stops to ensure that we ring in The Year of the Pig in serious style.

With its “Where Fortune Takes Flight” campaign, Pacific Place is helping us get into the spirit of the season. To celebrate the arrival of spring, over 60 kites will be soaring high above the ground throughout Pacific Place to spread blessings for the year ahead. Exclusively designed by Queenie Rosita Law, the kites are crafted in shapes inspired by traditional Chinese greetings – including octagons for good fortune, butterflies for positivity and good fortune, and circular candy boxes for completeness and unity. As well as the incredible Chinese New Year decor, Pacific Place will be hosting its very own Lion Dance on Tuesday, 12 February. The thrilling lion dance parade will travel around the mall, spreading good luck and prosperity, and there will also be music performances throughout the month, so make sure to visit and get ready to journey into the Year of Pig!

But the displays and performances aren’t the only thing that’s inspiring us to make a beeline to the mall this month, as it is also offering up amazing shopping rewards and special gifts of fortune.

From 22 January to 4 February, customers that spend between $2,500 and $7,999 will receive an exclusively designed set of Lai See packets, and those that spend between $8,000 and $75,000 or above will also be rewarded with shopping vouchers for the value of $300, $1,000 and $3,000. And with some of our favourite brands on offer, whether you’re treating yourself or your loved ones, we’re sure that a shopping spree won’t be that much of a stretch.
