It’s the first weekend of October, and fall is starting to settle in. This week we’ve found some chilled out foodie events for you to celebrate the start of cooler climes! Get Worldy At The Woods
Who needs a plane ticket when you can sip on creative cocktails from around the world at The Woods? This fall, one of our favourite cocktail bars is offering four new prix fixe menus (yes, four!), all with an “Around the World” theme. Featuring cocktails and canapés inspired by India, Mexico, Korea and Ethiopia, these pairings are sure to delight your senses with exciting flavours. Stop by each week to try different destinations, each of which will be on a two-week rotation. Leave your passport at home and get ready for a journey!
When: Monday, 5 October – Saturday, 28 November
Where: The Woods, L/G, 17-19 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong
How much: 488 for a single visit (for one destination). If you want to try out all four menus, you can snag a 10% discount and pay only $1,750.

Drink for Good!
Unwind after a busy day of work with a drink… for a cause! Yep, Drink for Good is back for another year of fundraising (which gives you even more reason to enjoy a glass or two after hours!). For every drink purchased at these venues, $5 will be donated to local charity HandsOn Hong Kong. So come out and support this worthy cause and have some fun while you’re at it. See you there!

Return of the Mac
One of our fave lunch spots has got to be Pret A Manger – we simply love their salads, wraps and sandwiches and they’ve got awesome lunch deals to boot.Enter the mac… the mac & cheese, that is! Londoners love this delicious comfort food from the popular chain, which is why we’re excited that they’re launching two varieties of it here in the 852 – one with prosciutto and one with cauliflower and kale (they care about you flexitarians out there!). Both will be available from Wednesday, 7 October at Pret A Manger eateries across town.

How much: Both are $49. Enjoy a 12oz organic coffee or tea at $10 with any purchase of the mac & cheese, until Saturday, 31 October.

A Slice of Life
Did someone say pizza? Pizza lovers should make sure to celebrate the launch of The Butchers Club’s Southside Pizza Co. this Saturday. This new pizza place will be second to none under the guidance of Chef Gregoire and Chef Persaud, who claim to have found the perfect dough recipe and created an amazing pizza sauce. Grab a slice of these one of a kind pizzas and munch away while listening to The Anello play. And don’t forget to check out the Italian Cheesemakers who will be demonstrating how to make fresh mozzarella… mamma mia!

If you’re into ink then get ready to see some beautiful artwork at the 3rd International Hong Kong China Tattoo Convention. There will be over 100 international and local artists present and you’ll be able to watch competitions, get tattoo supplies, listen to bands and DJs, and appreciate some cool art installations. This will definitely be a unique experience that you won’t want to miss if you’re looking for a different way to spend your weekend!
