Top 3 New Bars in Hong Kong

13 November, 2012

The end of the year is near… and the good news is that a new year brings in a whole load of new bars in town! So for those of you who love new places and new cocktails, scratch out whatever you had planned for Friday night, and pick up the phone to call your girlfriends for a night of bar hopping at the city’s latest hot spots!

Honi Honi
For some tiki-tiki time, look no further – Honi Honi is the city’s first tiki cocktail lounge, bringing you a Polynesian escape in the middle of Hong Kong! Expect a laidback beachy vibe; the use of timber and bamboo, as well as the burst of colours in the décor, will no doubt put you in the happiest of moods as you sit back in this hideaway paradise. With the weather having become nice and breezy this month, be sure to grab a table on the outdoor terrace to kick back and relax over tropical cocktails; we’ve heard they do the best Pina Colada in town, whilst the Lady Bird also sounds delish (a blend of Pampero Blanco rum, Fraise de bois liquer, Angostura Orange Bitters, fresh guava juice and fresh strawberries… mmm!). Tropical paradise, here we come!

For the newest club around town, come check out Privé Group’s latest addition to LKF – Levels! Show off your dance moves at this 8,000 square foot party space, which boasts the largest dance floor in Hong Kong – so say goodbye to all those other cramped crowded clubs! Levels has two bars, eighteen VIP tables and even an enclosed VIP private room for those special party occasions; it’s also happy-hour friendly with special prices between 6-9pm, served alongside tasty sushi from Masu Robatayaki & Sushi. We reckon this will quickly become a clubbing favourite for HK party animals, so why not head up with the girls before the crowds are in the know!

Wyndham The 4th
If you are clever enough to find this hidden new speakeasy-esque bar, then a night at Wyndham The 4th is well worth the effort! Inside you will find a dimly lit, supremely sophisticated bar and cocktail lounge; the décor is modern and minimalist, and the amazingly spacious terrace bar outdoors is the perfect venue to host a cocktail party day or night! The surrounding walls are lined by larger than life black and white photographs that add a touch of femininity, making the space feel surprisingly quiet and protected from the boisterousness of other bars on the street below. However, the real draw card is HK’s Bartender of the Year, Tom Wood, who’s in charge here – so expect divine classic cocktails and treat yourself to one of Tom’s own creations!
