Jimmy Choo 24:7 Collection

26 January, 2010

Jimmy Choo has launched a very practical new collection called Jimmy Choo 24:7 which consists of 9 iconic styles that make up the perfect Shoe Wardrobe. Inspired by the iconic pieces that founder, Tamara Mellon, feels should be in every woman’s wardrobe, each item is available in a variety of colours, materials and heel heights so that you can pick what works best for you and your life. There’s the “Perfect Platforms”, the “Perfect Pointy-toe Pump”, the “Perfect Round-toe Pump”, the “Perfect Flat”, “Perfect Evening” etc. Because we’re always trying to make the absolute most of our wardrobes (and let’s be honest, if we’re making that Jimmy Choo investment we need our shoes to last more than one season), we asked Jimmy Choo to whittle down still further to select the 7 absolute must-have styles for Sassy girls!

Meet Clue, the “Perfect Platform” – just about doable for work, these are available in many colour combos (my favourite is the black croc) and can take you from day to evening.

Finlay is the “Perfect Flat”, which has the tiniest of little heels to protect your foot from the pounding feeling that flats can sometimes give. These would look perfect with skinny jeans for the weekend.
This is Glenys, which quite honestly I do have some doubts over whether this can really be called a classic, as it’s a shoe look that we can’t predict will still be hot in a couple of seasons. It is totally drool-worthy (especially in snakeskin), but as it’s such a Trend shoe, we’d be tempted to pick up a cheaper version at Pedder Red or Aldo. Just sayin’!
This is Lance, a mirror leather sandal available in black patent or other metallic colours if you’re not a gold girl. With tanned legs in the summer this would surely be your go-to going out shoe. It’s also available in a less vertiginous heel height with a little less ankle frou-frou.

Just because it’s a work heel doesn’t mean it has to be boring! Lovely’s understated leopard print makes this the perfect transitional pump which is safe enough for the office but funky enough for an after-work date.  This is Lockett, the “Perfect Pointy-Toe Pump”. Pointy-toes haven’t been around so much in the past couple of years – we’ve all been going with the round-toe, but we agree that this truly is a classic to keep in your wardrobe, and a style that must be due a huge comeback soon!
Private is another very fashion-forward style that we think has more sticking power than the Glenys as a nude shoe is always a great investment and every wardrobe should have one as they make your legs go on forever and are great for pairing both with black and with pale colours for summer.

What do you think of the 24:7 collection? Which do you think are absolute fashion must-haves? We’d be interested to know!
