WEEKENDER: Think Pink, Star Street Gourmet & Wine Walk and More!

21 October, 2011

Yup, it’s that time of the week again… Our Weekender is here to bring you all the hottest happenings for the upcoming weekend!

Think Pink
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and today is official Dress Pink Day, so add some pink pizzazz to your outfit and show your support. You can upload your pretty-in-pink pics to HK Cancer Fund’s Facebook Page until the 25th October to be in with a chance of winning a fab Body Shop hamper. Loads of beauty brands (Elemis, Bobbi BrownOrigins, OPI, and The Body Shop to name but a few!) have also created special Pink Ribbon products to raise awareness and donate towards the cause.

When: 21 October
How Much: Dontate to The Pink Revolution here

Take a scrumptious stroll down Star Street
Another week, another feast for all you foodies out there – the annual Star Street Gourmet & Wine Walk! The Starstreet Precinct is one of the hippest areas in HK right now and you can enjoy a selection of nibbles and fine wines from favourites like Classified, Chez Patrick Deli, Cepage and Yo Mama. There will also be themed street performances and free gifts and special discounts from the cool spas, galleries and boutiques taking part.

Make some noise!
Stomp – the award-winning theatre phenomenon – is back in town and the HKAPA is going to be ringing from the rafters with their unique blend of dance, music and comedy. Expect frenetic toe-tapping, boundless energy (from a cast of not exactly unattractive young men, wink wink) and witty comedy… dust bin lids never sounded so good!

Get your lederhosen out!
We already gave you all the goss on the Erdinger Oktoberfest this weekend, but never fear if you left it too late to organise that – the Marco Polo German Bierfest runs every night until the 12th November! You can look forward to a fun-filled night of mouth-watering German food, entertainment from German band The Notenhobler and a special-edition German beer making its debut in HK, Löwenbräu Oktoberfestbier. Go nearer Halloween and check out everyone’s crazy costumes too!

22 October, 9.30-11.30pm
