As an exercise in sustainable fashion (and to benefit the Akanksha Foundation) Sheena Matheiken, has pledged to wear the same dress for a whole year… well, technically it is 7 identical dresses, one for each day of the week. The dress can be worn either forwards or backwards, and can also open like a coat. Supporters can donate accessories via the Uniform Project website, and receive a special shout-out to the creator. Sheena posts photos of herself every day, and is a great example of how with a little imagination, you can change something very ordinary into a special look.
The dress is designed by Eliza Starbuck, and created to be cool in the summer and warm in winter. It is hopefully super-durable as well! I’m sure once we have seen all the looks that Sheena can eek out of it, we’ll all be wanting one too!
