Healthy meals delivered to your door daily!
Making an effort to eat healthier this year? Yep, me too… this and every other year at that! Which is why I’ve had to be honest with myself and figure out why. Surely by now I should have gotten a handle on the whole ‘healthy habits’ malarky, but settling in to a routine in this hubbub of a city is a constant struggle. How am I supposed to fit eating well in amongst the abundance of brunches and boozy junks that happen on the regular here in Hong Kong? And with a job that demands more than just a nine-to-five, heading home to cook is not top of my list!
So when the opportunity to trial NOSH’s new curated meal plans arose, I had nothing to lose but a couple of pesky inches (hurray!) and time shaved off of my nightly ritual of boiling pasta.
I’ve looked into ordering meal plans multiple times only to quickly exit my browser in frustration over the cost. But whether you’re looking for something short and sweet or to cover the majority of your food intake, a week’s worth of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks turned out to be not much more than what I would have spent on those meals in a day. Admittedly, I don’t eat out every day of the week (bolognese stretches far when you need it to, girls!), but with those January resolutions resounding in my mind, I was looking for an option that would keep me on track and motivate me to continue eating healthier afterwards. And, for the most part, it has!

With dim sum frequently becoming more than just a Sunday treat, I opted for the ‘Low Carb’ menu. I thought I would miss my rice and noodle staples, but I was pleasantly surprised by how varied the menu turned out to be. I’m no stranger to the food at NOSH and often order for delivery, but for some reason I assumed the meal plan would be different; but using the same delish combos, I was tucking in to my fave Cajun Baked Chicken and Honey Soy Marinated Salmon.
Choose from 2 or 3 balanced meals a day (with a new menu each week!) that have been specially made fresh to track your dietary requirements, desired calorie and carb intake. And with a ton of different plans to choose from, there’s something to help you on your way to achieving your goals, and making those mid-week meals a breeze.
Having my meals planned for me was a treat in itself, but getting in to the office to find my day’s worth of food already waiting for me was the best part. Granted, you’ll want to pop them straight in the fridge (and guiltily move your co-worker’s lunch to make space!), and it’s a huge asset to have a microwave near by as most of the food should be eaten hot; but each meal is delivered straight to your workplace or to your doorstep between 7-9.30am, depending on what works best for you. And with each plan starting on a Monday, you’ll be in the right frame of mind from the get-go!
One of my New Year’s resolutions, believe it or not, is to try and regularly cook more nutritious food, so I felt like this was the perfect transition to wean myself off of chocolate (Sassy Girls, please hide the Lindt) and poor food choices (yes, like pasta for every other meal). NOSH did all of the hard work for me in week’s build up to a ‘new, healthy me’, while I just reaped the results.
