Beauty Trend: Yellow Eyeshadow

You’re probably well aware that New York  Spring 2011 Fashion Week was in full swing last week.   The runways were taken over by top designers showcasing their creations for Spring.  Long, loose, flowy, chiffon and silk seemed to dominate most collections.  Though Fashion Week also gives us a glimpse into the beauty and cosmetics trends that we’ll be seeing soon. 

Believe it or not yellow eyeshadow seems to be the next big thing for the beauty world.  Most designers sent their models down the catwalk with some yellow shadow, Canary Eye-Shadow to be exact.  This is definitely a bold statement! At the Zac Posen show the models literally had yellow banana shaped arches over their lids.

While I’m all about sunshine and cheery colours, I’m pretty sure I won’t be wearing yellow shadow anytime soon.  I personally think this look needs to be pulled off by someone a bit more daring and dramatic than me.  I tend to stick to natural colours for my eyes and would feel like a bit of a clown with banana eyelids!
