If you’re still mourning the end of summer, make the most of our final rays of sunshine with Secret Island Party – plus we have some exciting events for all you foodies and fashionistas too…

It’s coming up to that time of the year again… and if you’re ready to get into the festive spirit already, then head to The Candle Company’s The Scent Of Christmas shopping night! We might be lacking snow and sleigh bells in HK but you’ll be feeling extra Christmassy with their new range of festive fragrances, including Balsam Fir, Christmas Spice, Mandarin Cranberry and Snow Angel! All these and more can be sampled on the night; you’ll also get a special preview of their new range of Christmas products, plus there will be lucky draw prizes and special promotions on the night (spend over $400 to receive a free star-shaped candle set; spend over $1000 to receive a 20% discount on your purchases)… And all this with some scrummy canapés and a glass of mulled wine to boot!

You’re never short of fab foodie events here in Honkers! Now’s your chance to eat and drink your way through the afternoon… and it’s all for a good cause. Discovery Walk on Queen’s Road East covers an incredible 19 different restaurants (including Sassy faves Quemo, Chez Patrick and Madam Sixty Ate), all of which will be offering scrummy canapés, fine wine (who couldn’t use an after work beverage?!) and fun entertainment. Music and arts as you sip and munch on some delectable international foodie delights? Sounds like the perfect afternoon to us! Grab a group of friends and try out this fun tasting journey.

When: 9 November, 3pm onwards
Where: Registration starts at the Hopewell Plaza Piazza, Wan Chai; the walk will be along Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Festival bunnies and music lovers – if you’re looking for a completely unique event that will blow all other weekends out of the water, then you can’t miss out on the Secret Island Party! This two-day music, art and performance camping festival set on (you guessed it) a secret island in Hong Kong guarantees a whole weekend of creativity and fun. Get in touch with your outdoorsy side and camp overnight (remember to bring your own tent or hire one here), or just go for the day and enjoy some great local music and arts, drinks with friends and the last of our summer sunshine. Shhh… it’s a secret!

When: 9 & 10 November, full weekend pass starts at 9.30am and ends at 3.00am the following day
Where: A secret location in Hong Kong; travel via Secret Island Party’s ferries (see more info here)

If you’re in the mood for a brand new, completely different dining experience check out this innovative night by I AM. Their debut dining evening, ‘I AM FREE’ comprises of an exquisite seven-course dinner menu designed by Italian private chef Andrea Oschetti, beautiful wines pairings and an amazing art performance inspired by feeling ‘free’. This interactive dining experience is guaranteed to surprise and inspire you with innovative and creative dishes so prepare for a unique evening – feeling free never tasted so good!

When: 14 & 15 November, 8-11pm

Love designer gear, but don’t quite love the prices? Well you’re in luck, because one of our favourite designers, Isabel Marant, is launching a collection at one of our other fashion faves, H&M – fashionistas, eat your hearts out! The launch of this amazing collaboration, Isabel Marant pour H&M, includes loads of totally covetable pieces in Marant’s signature rock chick/Parisian chic style; in order to get the goods, you’ll need to join the queues at one of the selected H&M stores or the special Isabel Marant pop-up store in Causeway Bay and snag a coloured bracelet that dictates what time you get to shop! Can’t make it? Never fear, there’s plenty more fab H&M fashion in store – as the pop-up will be transformed into a Vintage Carnival the day after, which will last until 24 November. You won’t want to miss this fab fashion event; elbows out, girls!

When: 14 November, stores open 8am (pop-up shop 9am); the pop-up “Vintage Carnival” store lasts until 24 November
