World Cup

This year the World Cup will be held in South Africa beginning on June 11th. Every four years the World Cup becomes the absolute most watched sporting event around the world with fans crowding around televisions in their homes, pubs, restaurants, neighbors houses, and just about anywhere to get a glimpse of the football action.

Being from the US, football (soccer as we call it) isn’t as huge as it is every where else around the world. Though I am a fan of the upcoming June issue of Vanity Fair magazine which features Ivory Coast’s Didier Drogba and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo on the magazine’s cover, and inside you’ll find a full spread with some of the other players stripped down for our viewing pleasure!  The ‘artistic’ shots were actually taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.
