January went by surprisingly fast, and with Chinese New Year just around the corner, we’re sure that February is going to be a good month! Along with enjoying the festivities all over the city for The Year of The Pig, we’re getting set for Valentine’s Day, and booking in the rest of our month. From yoga brunches, beach cleanups, live music events and much more, here’s what’s on in February.
Learn the art of pizza making and enjoy an afternoon of Italian food and drinks at Motorino Wan Chai this month! Upon arrival, you will be greeted with wine and antipasti, before suiting up in your custom Motorino aprons. You will then be given a hands on pizza making lesson from the chef, and have the chance to top off your creations with traditional Italian toppings such as soppressata, creamy fior di latte and San Marzano tomatoes, before tucking into the finished result!

With Chinese New Year falling from Tuesday, 5 February until Thursday, 7 February, we’re bagging ourselves an extra three days off work this month to ring in The Year of the Pig! We’ll have only just recovered from the festivities of CNY, but February means Valentine’s Day, and our city is pulling out all the stops for the month of love. With dining options for every budget, gifts for that special someone and plenty of events happening, there’s loads to keep us busy. If you’re a lover of tacos, and also want to enjoy an afternoon of rooftop yoga, then this is the event for you this month! Coming at us with another edition of her Yoga Flow class at 11 Westside, Cam from CorpYoga will be hosting this 60-minute yoga session. It will then be followed by a 30-minute gong bath and brunch at one of our favourite Mexican hangouts in the city! The menu will feature exclusive delights such as the vegan silver lake Sweet potato taco and the foraged mushroom kale tabbouleh taco, along with the restaurant’s signature Caulifornia veg taco.

It’s no secret that our beautiful city suffers a little at the hands of rubbish waste and single use plastics, so this month, get together and help clean up Shui Hau beach on South Lantau. The cleanup is free and open to all who want to get involved. There will be fun and games, with prizes for the best and most interesting objects found!

It may have been 19 years since Craig David’s ‘Born To Do It’ album came onto the scene, but the artist is finally coming to Hong Kong this month with his celebrated TS5 show! It sets to combine massive old school anthems, from R&B to Swing beat, and from Garage to Basement, into chart topping House hits. Craig will sing, MC, DJ and work the crowd throughout the night.

In collaboration with The Week HK, Hong Kong’s Homegrown Music Festival, Sofar Hong Kong is back this month. Carefully curated to give the audience a diverse show, Sofar features amazing artists performing stripped-back sets in intimate spaces across the city. This time round it will take place at a hidden location in Diamond Hill, which will be disclosed nearer the time!

Vegetarian Food Asia is the only exhibition in Hong Kong dedicated to vegetarian and vegan lifestyle. Throughout the three-day show, visitors will have the chance to meet with over 180 exhibiting companies from around the world, exploring the latest spectrum of vegetarian and vegan products and services. Along with showcasing the latest food, beverage and lifestyle products, there will also be Healthy Workshops and the event’s own Veg Kitchen to explore.

Get out and get active this month with this outdoor movement class in Tamar Park. Try different exercises and put your body to the test with everything from irregular and complex movements, exploration of joint ranges, moving on the ground and in space, interaction and play, and a great full body workout!

Gather up your furry friends, Hill’s x SPCA Dogathon is back for another year! Enrol now and enjoy a morning out with a 5km stroll around Hong Kong Disneyland, all to support the work of the SPCA, including animal rescue, homing services and desexing programmes.
