Pink Season is Hong Kong’s annual festival of LGBTQ+ events, celebrating acceptance, inclusion and awareness. Taking place this October and kicking off the festivities, Pink Season Comedy Night will feature Sam See (of MTV, Comedy Central Asia and Edinburgh Fringe) as the headline act, along with an incredible line-up of comedians. Taking place from Saturday, 5 to Monday, 7 October, the Asia Contemporary Art Show is back for another season this month. Now in its 15th edition, the show will welcome more than 60 galleries from across Asia and around the world, including up-and-coming and mid-career artists, with over 1,500 pieces of contemporary original paintings, limited editions, sculptures and photography on display.

Head to Lantau Pui O Beach to enjoy an afternoon of sea, sand and jazz. Taking place at Treasure Island beach Club, Jazz on the Beach is all about spreading the positive message of “Love Wins. Back this October, the Discovery Bay Sunday Market is full of unique artists, makers, designers and bakers. The craft-market showcases local, independent vendors selling their handmade or self-designed wares. Classic Hong Kong is the continuation of the tried, tested and loved Fjällräven Classic multi-day trekking concept. After successful concepts in Sweden, Denmark and the USA, it’s now Hong Kong’s turn to take on the Fjällräven way of trekking. The 47,88km trek will take place over three days and includes steep climbs, beach camping and breathtaking views, with Fjällräven Classic taking care of the logistics – including food, transfers, checkpoints, support and even a few little treats along the way.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the annual Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation Pink Walk is taking place on Sunday, 27 October. This charity is dedicated to safeguarding the health of women in Hong Kong by promoting breast health awareness and encouraging women to undertake regular breast screening. So the fundraising event directly helps to enable the charity to continue its work to mitigate the threat of breast cancer to the local community through education, patient support services and research-based advocacy. Don’t forget to dress in pink and that the event is dog-friendly, so be sure to bring your furry friend along for the walk!
