We hope you all had a relaxing four-day week… we could get used to this! The weekend has quickly appeared and it’s the last one of April! We can’t believe that May is here already. Celebrate the new month with some shopping, pampering, tea and a party. It’s all in our Weekender…
Shop for a cause
Who doesn’t love shopping? Luxarity are hosting their Spring 2014 Luxarity charity sale this weekend at The Space where you can buy gently used designer clothes, shoes and bags. We’re all about the upcyclying and recycling, so we were excited to hear that HK’s best-dressed models, celebrities and style-setters would be donating clothes from their own wardrobes. Snap up brands such as Alexander McQueen, Chanel, Miu Miu and more from just $500… that’s what we call a steal! And what’s more, the proceeds will go towards educational charities in Hong Kong and to building 300 houses in the Philippines. It’s the perfect opportunity to bag some discount designer items, and you’ll be supporting a great cause too.
When: 26 & 27 April, 12-8pm on 26 April, 12pm until sold out on 27 April
Where: The Space, 210 Hollywood Road, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry, see here for more info
Treat yourself!
Most of us lead very busy lives here in Hong Kong, and a bit of pampering goes a long way. In support of Mother’s Choice (and in the run-up to Mother’s Day), Omberry, A Day With Fe and Hanuman Yoga Clothing have teamed up for a ‘Spa-rty’. A spa-rty is exactly what it sounds like – a spa party! Pamper yourself over nibbles and bubbly with some friends… sounds like the perfect afternoon. There will be charity yoga sessions (sign up here), express manis and a make-up corner to get you refreshed for your Saturday night. On top of that, VIP guests will receive a free goodie bag!
When: 26 April, 11am-5pm
Where: Wynd, 10/F, 43-55 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry, but don’t forget to sign up for the pay as you go yoga classes
A Mad Hatter’s Par-Tea
We love a themed tea party, especially when it’s Alice in Wonderland themed! It seems to be a popular theme at the moment, but we’re happy to head down the rabbit hole more than once! This time you’ll be going across the harbour to chill out, have some bubbly (in Mad Hatter’s tea cups, no less!), and enjoy the Mad Hatter’s High Tea Par-Tea. Hosted by Hushup at the quirky Dada bar and lounge, this screening of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland will be accompanied by sandwiches, pastries and cakes. Yum!
When: 25-27 April, doors open at 6pm
Where: Dada Lounge, 2/F, The Luxe Manor, 39 Kimberley Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong
How much: $398 per person, reserve your spot here or email [email protected].
