The weather might be up and down, with showers sprinkling our sunny skies, but that won’t stop us from getting into the summer season! The summer parties have started and we’ve got a cool selection for you to choose from. From chilled out shopping sprees to an epic rooftop pool party, there’s loads going on this weekend. It’s all here in this week’s Weekender!
Junk bites
It’s almost a guarantee that you’ll be invited out on a junk one weekend this summer, and whilst you’re swimming in the sea and tanning on top of the boat you can also look forward to some delicious delights from The Langham Hong Kong’s Main St. Deli! Summer with a splash
76 floors up at Hong Kong’s highest outdoor pool, W Hong Kong will be throwing some of the hottest parties of the year! DJs and singers from all over the world will be attending, ensuring the pool and dance floor will be packed all night. Carried away with Chloé
We could never say no to afternoon tea at the Mandarin Oriental! To celebrate the launch of their new book, Chloé Attitudes, one of our favourite French fashion houses, Chloé, will share a unique selection of sketches and photographs at the Mandarin with a special ‘Get Carried Away with Chloé’ package. The exhibition will share the story of Chloé founder, Gaby Aghion, and will be accompanied by a beautiful afternoon tea. The hotel’s highly creative culinary team will produce Chloé-inspired snacks, reflecting the images displayed throughout the exhibition, which will be offered as part of the afternoon tea set. Perfect if you’re a fashionista or foodie… or both!

Here at Sassy, we can’t resist a good bargain! If you are anything like us, then you are going to love the Fabulous Five at 5 event this weekend. Five great vendors are combining forces to bring you sales, gifts and goodies. Go along to each of the participating shops (AME Gallery, Ginsberg + Chan, KIWI Spa, Love It and Sol Wellness) from 5-9pm for cocktails and special discounts! If you visit all five stores and get five stamps, you can be entered into their lucky draw. And it gets better, as this event has been organised in support of the charity, Enrich, with a donation from each participating shop going towards helping ethnic minority women and migrant workers in Hong Kong. Sales and cocktails, and all for charity! What more could you want?

Healthy holidays
Looking for the motivation to start that summer diet you keep talking about? This weekend, head on down to Choice Cooperative, one of our favourite gluten-free restaurants (see our review here), for an event dedicated to healthy eating! The food gurus will be there to share their expertise and give talks that are sure to inspire you to eat well this summer. Why not talk to a nutritionist, watch a cooking demo, or try your hand at healthy, vegan chocolate making? It’s a great way to kick-start your summer in a positive way… bring on the healthy holiday!
