Tod’s D Bag Retrospective Exhibition

Last night, Anh (Sassy’s Style Blogger) and I attended a Tod’s cocktail event which celebrated the launch of the D Bag Retrospective Exhibition. The exhibition, which showcases the evolution and philosophy of the iconic bag, is being held throughout the weekend (1 April – 3 April) at Pacific Place right across from Zara (Level 1).

Opening night of the exhibition event was attended by over 100 people and we recommend a visit this weekend to check it out.  The exhibition itself highlighted how far the D Bag has come since it was first launched back in 1997 and it was pretty cool to see how the bag has evolved over the years yet still remains loyal to its roots – classic, versatile and understated luxury.

A real highlight for me was the artisan who flew in from Italy especially for last night’s event. He set up shop right smack in the middle of Pacific Place and the meticulous craftsman diligently worked right in front of our eyes.

Iconic actress and guest of honor Michelle Yeoh personalized one of the D Bags with a design that featured swallows and branches of peace communicating the message of support and love for those in need. The bag is currently being auctioned off with a starting bid of HK $9,800.

Just because I am a complete sucker for celebrities I thought I would leave you with a few Hollywood girls who know how to rock this iconic bag in their very own way.  Which colour is your favourite? I am a personal fan of the grey but perhaps I am partial because I have a total girl crush on Julianne Moore…
