Marcel Wanders for M.A.C

M.A.C are one of the most innovative cosmetics brands, and we’re always so interested to see what collaboration or fun product line they will come up with next… For their latest release, we never could have seen this coming! M.A.C have partnered with famous Dutch industrial designer Marcel Wanders to create a line of limited edition lipsticks, glosses and powders that will be a hit with all lovers of design who are in search of collector’s item cosmetics. The colours of the Wanders line are inspired by 17th Century Flemish art, in particular Vermeers who painted, “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, and the idea of a painter falling in love with his subject. The colours are all named after the women in Vermeers’ life. M.A.C didn’t place any restrictions on Wanders other than telling him which items should be in the collection, so it was up to Wanders to find a way to fuse his particular maximalist style with M.A.C’s usual pared-down minimalist aesthetic.

The Marcel Wanders collection comes just in time for party season as the items included are all things you would want to pop in your bag and pull out to impress for touch-ups! The powder compact containing Sheer Mystery Powder (HK540) is a must-have for all girls rocking an edgy, high-style look this winter.

The most covetable item in our opinion is the Marcel Wanders Brush Clutch which is HK580 which is pretty enough to leave your dressing table for a night out!

The M.A.C and Marcel Wanders Collection is exclusively available at the M.A.C Counter in Lane Crawford, ifc Mall, and at the M.A.C Store in Elements Mall from December 9th.
