Leaving on a midnight train to…

I have always wanted to take a train trip. There is something so mysterious and romantic about pulling into city after city by train. I often think about how nice it would be to finish off a day of sightseeing with a cocktail while the train whisks you off to your next destination and how amazing it would be to wake up in an entirely different place each day.

My husband and I have looked into doing a train trip through India a number of times but something always got in the way of actually booking the holiday. After seeing the above images from the February issue of U.S. Vogue I am now inspired to take to the train rails and transport myself back to a time where travel was part of the trip not just a way to get from here to there.
