Man Man Kee Noodle Shop
Having been in business for more than 60 years, Man Man Kee knows a thing or two about noodles! A local favourite and a long-time feature on the Michelin Guide, the small shop boasts some of the best Cantonese wonton noodle soups in the city, all for unbeatable prices!

Foodtrip: Bedana’s Filipino Restaurant
More snack shop than sit-down restaurant, Foodtrip is a hidden gem for authentic Filipino food in Hong Kong. Not only can you secure a hearty meal for under $100, but it also offers tasty regional dishes that are hard to find outside of the Philippines, including ox tail in peanut sauce and sauteed pork offal! But beware if you’re a stickler for hygiene, because the cleanliness at this joint is definitely less than five star.

Sfizio

Chinese Noodle Restaurant
Yet another traditional noodle shop, this hole-in-the-wall spot offers up some of the silkiest wontons in simmering, flavourful broth, plus generous portions of thick meat options. There’s also an English menu, which never hurts!

Hama Sushi
A popular conveyer-belt sushi restaurant with affordable prices (select pieces start at just $12!) and plenty of options, Hama Sushi is a perfect cheap sushi fix — but keep in mind that the quality of the fish matches the price! One of the newest spots on our list, Thai Pai Dong is a fast-rising star in the Thai food scene (the head chef used to work at the ever-popular Samsen!). The decor is cute and casual, with LED fixtures and vintage posters lining the walls, while the dishes are perfectly seasoned and generously portioned.

What to do in Jordan: Shops & Markets
Temple Street Night Market
A treasure-trove for late-night dining brimming with local delicacies (think snake soup, dim sum and more!) and affordable shopping, Temple Street Night Market rivals the markets found in Taiwan and the Mainland. Most stalls don’t open until 4pm, and it gets especially lively from 8pm onwards!

Bowring Commercial Centre
Right across the street from MTR exit C2, Bowring Commercial Centre is full of little stores for affordable clothes and alterations for a fraction of price of those in Central. You could spend a whole day winding through and exploring these (admittedly claustrophobic!) stores, so make sure to mark down a snack and rest spot from our list!

Jade Market
