Exotic bars, international food and neon lights. This is Wan Chai! Home to Hong Kong’s most authentic, multicultural dining scene, Sassy got stuck into the Wan Chai City Wine Walk to bring you our top recommendations.

Head on over to bustling Wan Chai and explore flavours of the world. There are fantastic Indian offerings, a new take on Taiwanese tea, plus coffee cocktails, Spanish tapas and more!

wine & dine Wan Chai wine walk Bengal Brothers

Sassy Pick 1 – Bengal Brothers

The grab and go street food style of Bengal Brothers immediately took the Sassy office by storm. Needless to say, we were very excited to stop by for the Wan Chai City Wine Walk! Dishing up kati rolls, rice bowls and refreshing lassi’s (you can never say no to a mango lassi!) this is a great option to pick up on your lunch break or for an easy and delicious take-out dinner.

  • Tamil Pepper Beef Kati Roll with a Bira 91 beer are 2 tokens. A Mango Lassi is 1 token.

wine & dine Wan Chai wine walk blend & grind

Sassy Pick 2 – Blend & Grind

Tucked away on Sun Street, this precinct of Wan Chai has got to be one of our favourites! Blend & Grind is your local neighbourhood coffee shop, dishing up more than just lattes for the City Wine Walk. Our menu pick is the Triple Bao Taco which comes with a glass of Shiraz, but if you’re a beer lover it’s also worth trying the Yau Tangerine IPA.

wine & dine Wan Chai wine walk Espuma

Sassy Pick 3 – Espuma

Modern Spanish cuisine with an Asian twist is served up in the welcoming and whimsical Espuma. Sip on Sangria and snack on some Tequila-Lime Drumsticks or Churros at this bustling lifestyle restaurant in Wan Chai.

  • Sangria, Tequila-Lime Drumsticks and Churros are all 1 token each.

wine & dine Wan Chai wine walk MW Gunpowder Indian RestoBar

Sassy Pick 4 – MW Gunpowder Indian RestoBar

Backed by the team behind Gaylord Indian Restaurant, you can rest assured that the offerings at MW Gunpowder are going to be top-notch. The Gunpowder Chicken is crunchy and explodes with flavour, and pairs perfectly with the Tamarind Margaritas.

wine & dine Wan Chai wine walk 1011 TEABAR

Sassy Pick 5 – 1011 TEABAR

1011 TEABAR is a great value (and flavourful!) place to use your City Wine Walk tokens. All menu items are 1 token, which will get you a tea smoothie AND a well-portioned slice of cake. These are not your average smoothies either – think Avocado and Pear Green Tea, Mango and Red Pitaya or Pineapple Oolong Tea. It gets our vote!
