Flutes Champagne and Cocktail Bar

First off I have a total girl crush on Zooey Deschanel. There is something about her that is just so cool and quirky to me and I would so be her if I had the choice. I also have a very big soft spot for Champagne and think any celebration becomes significantly better after hearing the pop of a bottle of bubbly. So, needless to say… I simply love the above image and because of that it has made an appearance on this site before so apologies if you are against repeats (I call it recycling…so green of me huh?).

The reason for the recycling of this pic is to toast the opening of Flutes Champagne and Cocktail Bar, the newest bar to open its doors on Elgin Street. Being the Champagne lover that I am my taste buds have been salivating for the past few weeks (could it even be months?!) in anticipation of the opening and now that it is here I am pretty certain I will find as many excuses as I can to pop in.

Flutes is located towards the end part of Elgin Street near Peel so for me it is just far away from the hustle and bustle of the escalators and the always busy Soho Junction corner of Staunton Street. The actual bar is not huge which we like here at Sassy because it makes things a bit more intimate and friendly. Of course the highlight of their menu is their Champagne list but they also offer sparkling wines as well as a full bar. A small selection of happy hour prices is available and we very much enjoyed the pink biscotti that is served with their drinks.

At this point in time Flutes does not serve food but they have a great little hook up with Antipasto next door where you can order some nibbles from them and they bring it over to you.
