Intrusion: Homage to Francis Bacon, Li Tianbing at Opera Gallery

Born under China’s one-child policy in 1974, Li Tianbing’s body of work often looks back to his solitary upbringing, choosing to depict himself as a child alongside imaginary siblings. His newest series imagines them as mischievous children who break into the late figurative painter Francis Bacon’s studio.
