Finding Animals: 20th-Century Chinese Paintings from the Yitao Collection

Featuring nearly 40 paintings by 10 Chinese painters of the 20th century selected from the Yitao Collection, this exhibition includes greats like Qi Baishi, Gao Qifeng, Xu Beihong, Ding Yanyong, and Li Keran — showcasing interpretations and presentations of animals. Both traditional ink brushwork and more contemporary techniques are used, bringing a sense of three-dimensionality, perspective, and a vibrant colour palette that is more common in Western paintings!
