HSBC’s PayMe today announced its “PayMe For Good” initiative in partnership with five Hong Kong charitable organisations, inviting PayMe users to join a meaningful cause and support those who are in need. Enabled by PayMe for Business, these charities can now collect digital donations faster and easier than ever from over 2 million PayMe users. The 24-hour initiative will run from 12:00 p.m. on 15 September to 12:00 p.m. on 16 September. Users can simply use the PayMe app and donate to any of these five charitable organisations: The Community Chest of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation, Hong Kong Red Cross, ImpactHK and UNICEF Hong Kong, with #PayMeForGood in the payment message field. For the first donation of HKD50 or above by a PayMe user, PayMe will contribute an extra HKD10 to the receiving charitable organisation. Kerry Wong, Head of PayMe, HSBC, said, “As Hong Kong’s home-grown digital payment app, PayMe has become an integral part of our daily lives. With our mission to make payment simpler for Hong Kong people, PayMe continues to elevate user experiences and expand our reach to businesses and organisations with digital payment collection needs. Through the ‘PayMe For Good’ charity campaign, PayMe for Business connects charitable organisations with our ever-growing community, enabling us to join hands and help those in need in the easiest way possible.”

In partnership with five local charitable organisations, HSBC is hosting a 24-hour campaign to support individuals and businesses in need. From the Hong Kong Red Cross to UNICEF Hong Kong, you’ll be able to select one (or more!) local charity of your own choice and contribute through the app. To support the cause, simply use the PayMe app and donate to one of the five charitable organisations!
