essie Summer 2010

4 June, 2010

I mentioned a few days ago that all the summer trends are being released.  Another collection to make its debut later this month is the essie Summer 2010 line.

For the past couple of years I have been so loyal to dark purple almost black polishes. Every now and again I break my trend and try something a bit paler, though without fail I always resort back to the dark colours. This summer I’m really going to try to stay as far away from my usual and have fun with all the bold colours of the season!

The essie 2010 Summer Collection was directly inspired by the feminine and playful fabrics that were seen on the runways and gracing the pages of magazines. In fact, the President and Founder of essie said that she was most inspired by the vivid pastels at Versace and the splashy florals designed by DKNY.

Apparently the big trend for nails this summer is to actually mix and match colours to create a fun yet edgy look. Go for Knockout Pout on the hands and Pretty Edgy on the toes?!

The collection is full of variation and I love that essie took a classic look and put a twist on it to keep it modern and fresh.  Here’s a peek:

Demure Vixen

Vermillionaire

Pretty Edgy

Knockout Pout

Haute as Hello

Miss Matched

So which one will you be trying this summer?
