As the name suggests, Batiste is the OG dry shampoo. It’s an iconic product that’s been around forever, found in many a beauty cabinet and gym bag alike. It’s wallet-friendly and comes in a huge variety of scents (Blush is currently top of our list) and styling options (think colour protect, de-frizz and volume) to suit your mood and hair type.
Batiste Dry Shampoo, available in store or online from Watsons for $39.90
This is a hard-working product, containing odour eliminators and a patented healthy hair molecule to actually clean your mane. The best part about this dry shampoo is that it gives hair a new lease of life, without the sticky, powdery residue that some others leave behind. We usually think of this one as our “special occasion” secret weapon because it works really well on heat-styled hair.
Living Proof Perfect hair Day™ Dry Shampoo, available online from Shampoo.hk for $170
An office favourite, there’s just something about the smell of these products that makes you feel a bit sexy and summery. The Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo is light and easy to brush through, leaving your hair soft and shiny but never sticky. As an added bonus, it’s available in both light and dark tones so you can pick and choose to suit your hair colour.
Moroccanoil Dry Shampoo, available online from Shampoo.hk for $205
Although initially sceptical about a foam product, we couldn’t believe how well this worked! Tip hair upside down and rub through properly – once it’s dried you’ll be left with clean, fragranced, Instagram-ready locks. It’s on the pricey side, but we do think it’s worth it!
OUAI Dry Shampoo Foam, available online from Sephora for $240
This little oil-absorbing beauty is great because of what it doesn’t contain: it has zero parabens, synthetic fragrance, or mineral oil. It’s formulated with calendula flower for natural, silky, clean-looking hair in an instant. Plus, it’s non-aerosol, so it’s great for travel.
Wander Beauty Extra Mileage™ Hair Refresher, available online from Sephora for $185
If it’s an ABSOLUTE emergency (like, meeting your boyfriend’s parents and the water has been shut off in your apartment) sprinkle a bit of cornflour through the roots of your hair and brush through for revived locks.
