Aerial Arts Academy

19 February, 2010

Ever have thoughts of running away to the circus?  I always imagined it would be so much fun to be one of those exotic girls flying through the air on a trapeze or spin around like a weightless feather on the gorgeous silk ropes.   A recent visit to Cirque de Soliel in Macua left me so amazed and awe struck with the dream like acrobatic performances and choreography.  My childhood fantasy of being part of something so magical was sparked once again, and lucky for me, I can actually do this here in Hong Kong with Aerial Arts Academy.

Aerial Arts Academy (AAA) is the ultimate destination to turn fantasies into reality an hour at a time!  Located on Wyndaham Street in Central, the studio offers unique classes using poles, hoops, ropes and silks.  Excitingly, the studio recently launched an array of va va voom courses like ShowGirl Tease and Burlesque Dancing to their menu (can you say ooh la la!).  Founder Viva Vee is actually recognized all around the world as a master trainer of aerial arts and fitness, her founding partner Ania Przeplasko is internationally acclaimed as being of the best Pole Dancing instructors around, making this studio truly one of a kind.

You will find that not only are the classes absolutely so much fun (and so girly), but they are also a fantastic workout guaranteed to whip you into shape.  “Our classes are great for toning up and can burn up to 800 calories per session!” says Vee.

Have no fear ladies, dance experience is NOT necessary to take part in these exotic courses.  In fact, after several sessions of Burlesque, Chair or Pole Dancing  you’ll be hip bumping and shimming like Ms. Dita von Teese herself.  We were lucky enough to get a special Chair Dance performance by the instructors from AAA at our Sexy X-mas Party, and it was definitely one to remember (see below).

Sassy Tip:  AAA is the perfect venue for a Hen Night or all girls party with themed parties like Viva Las Vegas and Burlesque Us!
