Win a $1,500 Limited Edition Print from YellowKorner

13 April, 2015

The first professional photograph I fell in love with was ‘Alone’ by Lauren Baheux. It stopped me in my tracks as I was walking through Paris with my then very new boyfriend and I dropped his hand and walked straight in to buy it for about $1,000. The gallery was called YellowKorner, it has an online store as well as over 80 branches worldwide . The affordable prices, fantastic customer service, easy-framing options and stunning photographs made me an instant fan and I purchased ‘Poolside Gossip’ by Slim Aarons for my living room shortly after my first purchase.

I was hooked, mostly because I could make my apartment look like a gallery without spending a fortune on traditional art! Last year YellowKorner opened up a store in the ifc mall much to my delight so my mini addiction to their prints became even easier to satisfy. The core concept of the company is to promote ‘Democratic art’ and to make art accessible by slightly increasing the number of copies to reduce the price of each piece. This makes it a great starting point for any young art collector who doesn’t have a large wallet to go alongside good taste!

However I was slowly running out of wall space so had to abstain for a little while until smaller prints became available. Hong Kong is renowned for tiny apartments and expensive rent, which causes obvious interior design problems. To combat this YellowKorner introduced The Selection, a frame-free selection of the company’s best-selling photographs in the perfect size at affordable prices. They are all ready to hang in an instant too, interior design has never been so easy!

All prints from The Selection are limited edition with certificate of authenticity and are $1,500. They’re perfect for gifting as they come beautifully presented in a black box and the dimensions (29x54cm) make them easy to place anywhere in a house, so head on over to YellowKorner and pick up one now.
