Love is in the air…

Our generation’s most romantic film has got to be The Notebook, featuring the oh-so-lush Ryan Gosling. Rachel McAdams doesn’t do a bad job as lead character Allie in the film adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks book, either. If you’re in the mood for love, why not grab tickets to Hushup’s screening of The Notebook at the Love Sky Garden Cinema? There will be snacks and light bites delivered straight to your seat, courtesy of Deliveroo as you snuggle up to the boyf and get sucked in to probably the greatest love story of all time…

When: Sunday, 14 February, 6.15pm
Where: Love Sky Garden Cinema, 9/F, Sky Garden, California Tower, Lan Kwai Fong, Central, Hong Kong
How much: $388, including snacks from Jinjuu and a drink, available from Pelago here.

V-Day, Me-Day

The Vagina Monologues is back for another round of funny and frank female-empowering entertainment. If Valentine’s Day really isn’t your thing (urgh, flowers, chocolate and fine dining is just so overrated sometimes!), check out this unadulterated production of feminism. Watch as the talented actors bring their stories to life through the magic of song and dance.

When: Friday, 12 February & Sunday, 14 February, 7.30pm
Where: Orange Peel, 38-44 D’Aguilar Street, Central, Hong Kong
How much: $250 at the door (including one drink), or grab your tickets online here.

All those flashing lights…

We wondered what a traffic light party was for a hot minute until we realised it’s a fancy way of saying “dress code”! Bao Bei hosts its first Valentine’s Day party, with this super fun theme: traffic lights. Wear red and signal you’re taken (in a relationship), wear yellow and signal “it’s complicated” and wear green to let others know you’re available. Sounds like it’ll be a (road) rager!

When: Saturday, 13 February, 10pm-2am
Where: Bao Bei, 77 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry for all ladies, and one free drinks for the first 100 ladies at the door, $100 entry fee for dudes.
