Tis the season to be scary… if you thought Halloween was done and dusted for the year, think again! In case you missed out on the October 31 fun, there’s still a spooky night in the Caribbean or a Day of the Dead burrito party to keep you in a hair-raising mood – or how about some good ol’ fashioned wining, dining, shopping and picnicking instead? It’s all in this week’s Weekender!

Warm up for winter with UGG Australia!
Join UGG Australia at its Hong Kong flagship store in Causeway Bay for a special VIP Shopping Night – and get a chance to browse all their amazing new season’s collections! You’ll get first dibs on the latest Holiday 2013 arrivals for women, men and kids (start ticking off that Christmas shopping list!), whilst crazy-cool DJ Eve Speciall will be spinning top tunes all night long. You can also join in a DIY leather workshop, take fun photo-booth snaps with your friends, and enjoy light bites and cocktails on the house too! Dias de los Burritos
When it comes to all things Mexican, it’s hard to forget the colourful and fascinating traditional festival that is the Day Of The Dead. Kick it up with some amazing burritos and awesome music and you’ve got yourself one fabulous and fulfilling night for both your ears and your stomach! Little Burro, the new Mission-style burrito spot on the block, will be hosting their own Dias de los Muertos Party with cocktails, burritos and music spun by two top DJs from New York, Nickodemus and DJ DRM for a fantastic fiesta with an all-American spin TONIGHT. Forks out, foodies!
Forget your usual wine tasting workshops… Your usual wine and dine experience is about to get blown out the water (…or should that be vino?!) at the 5^th Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival this weekend! Featuring six different handy wine zones, from your everyday tipples to some seriously A-list wines, to over 70 different food booths serving all things from scrumptious appetisers to sweet treats. Don’t forget to stop by the new Tasting Room for exclusive wine pairing meals and master classes or just sink into the seats there and enjoy the view of the harbour – not to mention some great live musical performances too! It’s time to sip, slurp and salivate away…

Davy Jones’ Locker
Gave the Halloween parties last week a miss? Then Honi Honi’s Back to the Caribbean Night is the perfect excuse to put on that costume and have some belated Halloween fun! Honi Honi’s first ever Halloween party will be head-to-toe pirate and mermaid themed – and of course, there will be some special cocktails and live DJ too. And what’s a Halloween party without a best-dressed competition? Take your inner Ariel or Captain Jack Sparrow to the max and you could be yo ho ho-ing all the way home with some prize booty too!

Picnic perfection
Get your picnic baskets and blankets ready, because picnics just got a whole lot more exciting with Picnic In the Park, Hong Kong’s largest live music and dance festival. With over 60 different dance and musical performances on two different stages, you’re in for a picnic you’ve never experienced before. Bring your friends, family, furry friends and anyone else who might be interested, and enjoy the sun and fun on the green Discovery Bay grass; if you’re over 18, make it an all-nighter with the Party in the Plaza at DB Plaza afterwards too! PINP also supports many local charities, including Kids4Kids and Hong Chi Children’s Home, so you know you’ll be enjoying something that has a good cause.
