We all love lazing about at home in our pyjamas, but we’ve got to get out of the house at some point! We’ve rounded up some of the best events in the ‘Kong this weekend: for the artistically inclined, check out the ‘Made in Movember’ photo exhibition, or if you’re a beloved foodie, indulge in a juicy pulled pork burger at The Great American BBQ. Work it all off at a yoga rave sesh at PMQ or chase the chairs at the Sedan Chair Race & Bazaar, it’ll save you squeezing in gym sessions during your busy week…

made in movemberMade in Movember HK
This one’s an important one for you and the men in your life! Hong Kong’s kicking off Movember with ‘Made in Movember Hong Kong’, a photo exhibition of the most moustachioed men to raise awareness regarding men’s health issues. Supported by Getty Images, you’ll see a number of portraits of icons like Jimi Hendrix, Salvador Dali amongst a handful of strangers sporting some fantastic mos. Head on over to Little Square for a slightly hairier day and be sure to make the most of the free nibbles and alcoholic refreshments from Pizza Express, N*ICE POPS and San Miguel as well as free men’s shaves by Gentlemen’s Tonic while supporting the lads you love the most.

When: Friday, 24 October, 6-10pm, Saturday and Sunday, 25-26 October, 12-4pm
Where: Little Square, 21 Square Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
How much: Free!

yogaLet’s boogie, yogis
The yoga revolution has swept through Hong Kong and spared no one. Luckily for us, yogi fashionistas lululemon and Claudia Whitney Yoga have come up with a way to get us out of a stuffy studio and into Hong Kong open air – or at least, into PMQ’s Design Market courtyard! Their yoga rave Happy Hour session will be sure to rejuvenate you for the weekend, and all thanks to DJ Crafthouse by Jason Nogoy’s fresh beats.

When: Friday, October 24, 7pm
Where: PMQ, 35 Aberdeen Street, Central, Hong Kong
How much: Free! Get there a little earlier to secure a spot, more info here.

dapper clubCalling all gentlewomen
If you’re a whisky and scotch girl, you won’t want to miss out on Dapper Club this Saturday at the W Hotel’s Woobar. With free flow cocktails and 18-year-old whisky (naturally provided by whisky kings and Dapper Club collaborators Chivas Regal), a $9,000 men’s suit giveaway by Club Monaco from their latest line and a delectable mini-buffet, this is one night you won’t want to miss. Stay a little while longer to get down to Parisian DJ Arnaud Dirck’s snazzy sounds.

When: Saturday, 25 October
Where: Woobar, W Hotel, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon Station, Kowloon, Hong Kong, 3717 2222
How much: Advance tickets cost $250, door tickets cost $300. Tickets available here!

matildaChasing chairs
Now this one’s practically a Hong Kong institution, the annual Sedan Chair Race and Bazaar is back! Head on over in the morning to watch the race (see if you can spot the wackiest sedan chair), but if you’re not up for a leisurely walk round The Peak, stop by the Matilda in the afternoon for live music, drinks and nibbles as well as their awesome bazaar. Bring a bit of cash ladies, you’ll definitely want to buy something from their numerous stalls and you’ll be supporting great local charities!

When: Sunday, October 26, 10am-12 (race), 12pm-4pm (bazaar)
Where: Matilda International Hospital, 41 Mount Kellet Road, The Peak, Hong Kong
How much: Free, but bring a bit of cash and splash out at the stalls.
