The sun’s blazing and the mercury is sitting comfortably at 30C – it’s time to enjoy summer! Sample your way through the world’s best beers in LKF, hang out with VIPs at a pool party, or spoil yourself silly with some retail therapy, it’s all covered in this week’s Weekender…

Brace yourself gals, the Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Music Fest is back bigger and better than ever this weekend! Grab your friends and check out over 100 world-famous beer brands in unlimited supply from loads of bars, restaurants and over 70 street stalls. This year, there’s a new Craft Beer Street on Wo On Lane showcasing all kinds of brews – including fruity, honey and even chocolate varieties! There will also be live music performances from up-and-coming local bands, heaps of competitions and games (are you brave enough for the Hot Dog Eating Competition?!), foodie treats from around the world, and plenty more beer-fuelled fun to continue the festivities. So whether you fancy a stein, a pint or even a jug, the LKF Beer & Music Fest is the place to be!

WParty like a rockstar! 
Hong Kong’s sauna-like summer weather is well and truly upon us, so what better way to cool off than with a W Hong Kong GET WET Summer Series Pool Party! You can sip stylishly on a glass of Veuve Clicquot and take in the AH-MAH-ZING views of the city’s picture-perfect skyline from their fabulous rooftop swimming pool (the highest in HK, don’t you know?), then head to the uber-cool after-party at WOOBAR where some seriously talented DJs will have you dancing into the wee hours of the night. So fish out that bikini (or treat yourself to a new one with the help of our swimwear store round-up), it’s time to PARTY!

“Joyeux Quatorze Juillet!”…. translation – “Happy Bastille Day!” This Sunday, come and celebrate France’s Fête Nationale at one of Chez Patrick Deli’s three fantastique restaurants around town. This year’s Bastille Day Special Menu features a truly mouthwatering selection of French cuisine; with a special sharing menu including a scrumptious charcuterie platter to start and an assortment of heavenly cheeses (Camembert, Gruyere, Roquefort… yum!), it’s time to turn Gallic for the day! Also, true to any celebration, a selection of sparkling, red or white wine and beers will be served free-flow until3pm. Santé!
