The talented young people of Hong Kong are putting on Amplify, a show at Chinese International School, to raise funds for Room to Read. Students will be showcasing their talents by singing and playing their best musical pieces. And to add a competitive edge, they’ll be competing for a demo recording session! Better yet, it’s all for a good cause too, as Room to Read are a fantastic charity that aims to improve literacy and gender equality throughout the world. Who knows, we may discover the next Coldplay…

It was cancelled last minute in May due to the terrible weather, so we’re hoping it holds out for the postponed event this weekend! After the success of Harbour Artisanal‘s first festival in February, the independent food fair is back for round two. And this time it’s bigger and better as it’s been extended to two days! Boutique food and beverage vendors (including some of Sassy’s favourites – Honi HoniThe Socialhouse, and microbrewery Young Master Ales) will be there, providing delicious nibbles and drinks. Forks at the ready!

It’s nearly that time of year where we celebrate all that’s good and great about our dads! Father’s Day is just round the corner, and we’ve got some great options right here. If you’ve exhausted our list, Brick Lane is hosting their We Love Dads celebrations on Father’s Day too! There’s dinner and live music from an acoustic duo at their Admiralty branch, so you’ll be well entertained as you wine and dine.
