The beginning of July means we’re well and truly into summer in the 852! Just as well there are a whole host of amazing parties this weekend celebrating just that as well as U.S.A.’s Independence Day. Cool down at The Pulse’s water carnival or Jack Wills’ pool party. Slip, slap, slop
We all love a good day at the beach and the chance to top-up our tans never goes amiss! If you’re looking to go beyond rolling over every half an hour, head to Repulse Bay for a day of sunshine and carnival fun. Every Saturday through to the end of the month, The Pulse is hosting their Endless Summer Water Carnival… What’s better than a day of live music, photo booths and water sports? Not much unless you pair it with delicious food from 22 Ships, Little Bao and Limewood among others. Cool off with an ice lolly from Nice Pops before hitting the giant slip and slide…

Tea for two
There’s nothing better than afternoon tea for two, and HK’s well-known for it’s variety and choice in just that. This summer, check out the chic art exhibit ‘Super Vivier’ by Roger Vivier at Clipper Lounge in the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and top it off with an afternoon tea inspired by the famed shoe designer. The exhibit features the elegant Mademoiselle Vivier from Maison Roger Vivier and her stylish adventures in the comic book. Now, pinky fingers out as you delicately indulge in afternoon tea.

Hurray! Summer has finally arrived! We may still be in for a patch of rain or two, but the sun is shining and it’s hot, hot, hot! So, why not cool off at Jack Wills Summer Pool Party? It’s the perfect excuse to show off that summer body you’ve been working on, play a few rounds of beer pong and bring in July with a splash! Jack Wills will be giving away exclusive goodie bags packed with everything you’ll need to get your summer started, so don’t miss out!

America never does anything by halves, whether it’s their enormous portion sizes or all-out parties! Don your stars and stripes and head to Stone Nullah Tavern for a 4th of July feast at their American BBQ Party. The venue has teamed up with Little Burro to bring you mouth-watering BBQ goodness and free-flow drinks. Or head to Boomshack and celebrate at their July 4th Extravaganza with craft beer company Hop Leaf! This all-you-can-eat foodie affair will be accompanied by games and prize giveaways. Who says you can’t pair silent disco and yoga?! Join Nora from The Yoga Room for one of two outdoor yoga sessions this weekend. You’ll hear her music choices and instructions over light-up wireless headphones… we don’t know whether to get our zen on or our jam on! Bring your own yoga mat to this one and don’t forget to inhale deeply and exhale slowly as you watch the sun set while doing your sun salutations and warrior poses.
When: Sunday, 5 July, the first session is from 5.30-6.30pm, the second session is from 7-8pm. Get there 15 minutes before the class starts to register.
