The sun is starting to poke out from behind the clouds, and we can’t wait to put away our umbrellas! Make the most of the drier weather this weekend and have some fun at a rooftop market, chill out at pop-up art cafes, or treat yourself to some trendy dim sum! It’s all here in our Weekender...

club monaco coffeeA cup of inspiration!
If you couldn’t already tell, we’re big fans of Club Monaco here at Sassy (see our Club Monaco photo shoot here!). It’s not all about the clothes though! They also organise cool events, and today they’re teaming up with some of our favourite cafes in the Poho area for an afternoon of art, music, and of course, coffee! Stop by Po’s Atelier, teakha or Boom to get your caffeine fix, and you might even be able to pick up a cute canvas bag with an illustration by trendy HK artist, Telephone. It’s the perfect way to spend a Friday afternoon! Feel inspired? Check out our Pinterest board with Club Monaco, to see what inspires Hong Kong’s coolest tastemakers.

When: 11 April, 1-5pm
Where: Po’s Atelier, G/F, 70 Po Hing Fong, Sheung Wan; teakha, Shop B, 18 Tai Ping Shan Street, Sheung Wan; Boom, G/F, 48 Sai Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong

We can’t deny that we love afternoon tea, and what better way to spend a Saturday than with tea and shopping? Well, we’re in luck, as the wonderful Maisha Concept is offering both with an African-inspired Fashion High Tea! Expect sweet exotic treats, a sneak peek at the 2014 collection, and some super sale items! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to bag one of their gorgeous designs (see some of our favourites here!) – we know how much you love a bargain! Happy shopping!

When: 12 April, 12-4pm
Where: 2A, Lee Wah Mansion, 171-177 Hollywood Road, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
How much: Free entry! RSVP here

mott32

The new ‘it’ restaurant…
New Canto food hotspot, Mott 32, has hit the streets of Hong Kong with a bang! It’s quickly become the talk of the town for its tasty Chinese food, including dim sum, Peking duck, char siu (which is to die for!) and more. Occupying a huge space in the basement of Standard Chartered Bank Building, this new restaurant is seriously cool. With the interior designed by Joyce Wang, and with experienced Chef Fung at the helm, we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

When: Now open! Try the dim sum lunch or stop by for drinks and dinner in the evening.
Where: Basement, Standard Chartered Bank Building, 4-4A Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong
How much: It’s certainly not the cheapest dim sum in the world, but the higher prices are worth it for the spectacular setting!

alfredoGetting jazzy with it…
