True Religion Spring/Summer 2012: candy-coloured jeans, your new clothing BFF

You know that piece of clothing hanging in your closet that you can wear anywhere and, when done right, makes your butt look higher and your legs look longer? Well, your clothing BFF just got revamped for spring! They’ve been dyed, bleached, ripped, and reconstructed into something very new and very cool. That’s right, we’re talking about your jeans.

True Religion has just released their latest creative and colourful collection and what’s great is that it is not just skinny jeans gracing their runway, but shorts, flares, bell-bottoms, patchworks and acid washes! Not matter your style or denim desires, True Religion can fit your needs and your shape.

It seems that I can’t open a magazine without seeing a celebrity in loud candy colored jeans! Now, I love fashion and trying new things but I never thought I could pull this trend off because of a certain amount of junk in the trunk. Well, I recently popped by IFC and saw the most fantastic royal blue jeans and, seeing as I was feeling trim and in a good mood, decided to try them on. Turns out they fit great and looked great on (if I do say so myself). The blue pair and a yellow pair in the same cut had to come home with me!

I found my new coloured jeans actually really easy to pair with my existing wardrobe and they can be worn with flats and a t-shirt or heels and a cute blazer. These two new pairs instantly spiced up my wardrobe and have become my go-to pants… True Religion has tons of this style of jeans on offer in an amazing array of rainbow colors.

One of my other favorite pieces from the True Religion collection was the acid wash jeans. I know… I know… ACID WASH! Images of Kelly Kapowski from Saved By The Bell come flashing into my mind and I’m soon left wondering where my white high tops and scrunchie socks have been hiding all these years. But actually, these are really cute! They feel very fresh and modern and would look great paired with a basic white top and a loose leather jacket. I would even love to wear them rolled up with an over size boyfriend cardigan!

Of course, you can also pick up a stack of t-shirts, denim shorts for summer, dark sexy going-out jeans, and stylish goods for your man at True Religion, but you already knew that! Seriously though, go by and try on some red or green or yellow jeans and just see how they work for you. Who knows?!? Maybe, you too will be revamped for spring!
