Tiffany’s Circle of Giving Campaign

26 November, 2010

Being an American, Christmas doesn’t officially start for me until the day after Thanksgiving (which was yesterday) so that means today is the day I can start getting excited about Xmas!!

The one thing that is on my holiday festivities list this year is heading over to Hullet House for a Holiday Cocktail, but before that a must needed stop is The Grand Piazza at 1881 Heritage to take a look at the Tiffany Christmas Tree. The Tiffany tree is absolutely magnificent and the reason behind the tree is so very heartwarming. This year, Tiffany & Co. will be hosting the Circle of Giving, A Legacy of Light which is a series of events that will benefit one of our favourite Hong Kong charities, Mother’s Choice.

The 10-metre high tree was lit in a special Tree Lighting Ceremony this past Tuesday (no, I did not attend the lighting ceremony as it was not yet Christmas in my mind!) and from now until 2 January you can join the Circle of Giving by making a donation to Mother’s Choice in return for a Tiffany blue bauble ornament and a card. On the card you can make a very special wish and put it inside the ornament and place it under the Tiffany Tree. Each donation will go to making a better future for children and pregnant women in need.

Also, on 7 December Tiffany & Co. will be holding a Christmas Fair, which will be held at The Courtyard of the Hullet House and guests can enjoy festive treats, gingerbread decorating and even hear a special reading of the ever popular Christmas book “Twas the night before Christmas”. All donations from the fair will also go to help Mother’s Choice.

As this is the first time I really let myself get excited about Christmas I am now completely bursting with excitement for the weeks to come. Bring on the holiday season!
