Style Spotting at Joyce (Lee Gardens)

10 November, 2011

Are you looking to stand out on the HK streets? Bored with what is hanging behind your closet doors? Girl, do I have the solution for you! Call a cab, get moving on the MTR, flit over on a ferry. No matter how you do it, get your self to Lee Gardens in Causeway Bay! For it is at Lee Gardens that you will find the latest and greatest offering the shopping scene has to offer… JOYCE!

With over 3,800 square feet of pure purchasing pleasure, there is something guaranteed to seduce no matter what your style! Here, you can snatch up the hottest contemporary pieces from brands including Alexander Wang, mastermind, LuLu& Co., Rick Owens, Jean Colonna, as well as the newer brands like J.W. Anderson, Kaal E, and Mame. This is sure to put the WOW back in your wardrobe!

In addition to viewing the ridiculously gorgeous garments, I was able to snap a few pics of Hong Kong’s most inventive style stunners. Together, we all celebrated the new shop plus an incredible book called January to August by New York based photographer Erik Madigan Heck. The book includes images of acclaimed designers like Ann Demeulemeester, Dreis Van Noten, and Comme de Garcons as well as other eclectic fashion photography, landscapes, and essays all created in the named months spanning 2011. Images of local Hong Kongers, photographed by Erik and outfitted by Joyce, were projected onto the walls around the space, creating an exciting and colorful visual display.

Not only was the new Joyce an incredibly unique shopping experience, but also it was peppered with the most creative characters this side of Victoria Harbor! I love seeing what these imaginative and expressive Hong Kongers come up with to wear! And now, thanks to Lee Gardens, we can follow in their well-heeled footsteps! Our closets are re-Joyce-ing!
