We are really looking forward to SoHo Shop Walk and in preparation for the event we thought we would give you a sneak peak each day at some of the boutiques and independents designers/online shops that will be participating on the night.
Being the nosey people that we are, we asked the owners of these fabulous businesses for their favourite trend and pieces for summer.
First up, the newbies on the street. All three of these boutiques just recently opened here in Hong Kong and they are excited to be welcoming Sassy readers to Shop Walk!
Alexa and Todd
What is your favorite trend for summer? Alexa & Todd say anything goes in the Summer – but our personal favourites are maxi dresses, both block colours, stripes and prints. We just love the way a maxi dress falls on the figure!
From your collection, what is your favorite piece for summer and why?
We are loving Woodford & Co’s Village Maxi dress in both Black and White. So simple, yet so beautiful – you have to love the detailed embroidery on the neckline and sleeves. Moroccan Boho style – our fave.
What would you pair it with?
Ohhh where to start? big floppy sun hats, for those wanting a bolder look, trapper hats would be cool too.. gold, bronze, or tanned strappy sandals, big oversized sunglasses, chunky bangles or rings, the possibilities are endless!

What is your favorite trend for summer?
Definitely a splash of bright colour.
From your collection, what is your favorite piece for summer and why?
Sidewalk’s Linen Ikat scarves (item 7 below) that we had produced exclusively for sidewalk. They are in a range of colours but my favourite is the watermelon on white. It looks wonderful draped around the shoulders or wrapped around the hips over a bikini. (cost $750)
What would you pair it with?
I would pair it with either a white tank, white cropped pants and a pair of gorgeous aquamarine earrings or wear it wrapped around your hips over a little black bikini.

What is your favorite trend for summer?
In general I like clothes for all moments not just for specific event. Clothes you must wear often and happily.
From your collection, what is your favorite piece for summer and why?
The long “Ibiza” dresses/skirts with computer prints. You can wear it chic, casual and in general you can wear it any time and any place for all occasions.
What would you pair it with?
For me, I love to wear the dark pink print color (as a skirt) with some flip flops during the hot days in Shanghai or in Hong Kong and for dinner with some high heels and matching pashminas.
