Although they only started in 2009, Mariee Bridal Couture is a already a Hong Kong favourite for wedding gowns. There isn’t a huge range here, but the styles do vary and aim to have a ‘timeless appeal’. The made-to-order dresses offer luxury fabrics and hand-stitched embroidery and beadwork too.

Scent of bride
With a large collection of bridal gowns, Scent of bride has dresses available for rent and for purchase. Some are ready-to-wear and others can be tailor made, giving you the option to customise if you’re looking for something original to walk down the aisle in. Their shop is open until 9pm, ideal for those getting involved in wedding preparations after hours. Scent of bride have recently partnered with wedding photographer Lawrence Tsang too!

Anaiss on Weddings
The recent collection by Anaiss on Weddings features many off-the-shoulder and strapless varieties, with a number of sweetheart necklines popping up too. ElDevere Bridal is run by two designers, Emma and Christine, out of their studio right in the heart of Central. They work hard to custom design bridal gowns, with a minimum of two months per order. This includes the design consultation, where you can discuss in detail exactly what style and look you want for your wedding dress. For brides who are looking for a gown with a more personal touch, ElDevere Bridal is a solid option.

Focusing on individuality, the boutique also offers photography and hair and makeup services for your special day (if you’re getting married in HK!). If your groom is hunting for something appropriate to wear (we’ve heard of horror stories of men wanting to turn up in superhero costumes – er, no, girls!), Cocoon Bridal also has tuxedos for them to choose from. We love the idea of a totally unique dress that’s been designed for a special occasion! On site, they have accessories that include jewellery and tiaras to take your dress to the next level. Run by Janet Choi and Noel Wong, who have both been in the fashion industry for more than 20 years, Gianni Castelli does well to integrate both Chinese and Western bridal trends. The boutique stocks three main collections: classic, modern and a range of Chinese-style qi paos (they’re the formal version of cheongsams). Janet and Noel also help with decorating your venue, adding in a few key touches to make it the way you want, as well as with your wedding photographs.

Search through more than 1,500 bridal gowns, with the ability to narrow down your search by a whole host of variables. You can select what hemline, sleeve length, neckline and fabric you want – and if might help being able to see all the options online first!
