Spring is officially here and that means the temperature is rising and the sun is starting to poke out behind those dreary skies! Not only is junk weather fast approaching, but it also gives us an excuse to indulge in a bit of retail therapy to give our wardrobes a spring update. Our Hong Kong Editorial and Partnerships teams pick their favourite pieces from FRENCH CONNECTION’s new Spring Summer ‘15 collection… find out what’s on their wish list below!
I’m a bit obsessed with stripes… I have about five different stripy t-shirts and dresses, and this striped dress from FRENCH CONNECTION would fit perfectly into my little collection! The material looks loose and comfortable, perfect for summer, and I love the white lace detail at the neck. Paired with a strong red lip, this is my ideal outfit! I also love the look of these jazzy black and white trousers. The pattern is really unique and they look smart yet casual with the pop of green from the jumper… great for work with a pair of black pumps!
I love this casual yet chic look and have been looking for a white dress that can be worn post-beach or at my first summer cocktail party! This dress is the perfect transitional piece – it can be worn with little ankle boots, killer heels or a pair of simple flats for a more ‘fresh off the beach’ vibe. I’d also throw on some gold bling to jazz it up! For a more individual look, I would definitely go for this dress and jacket combo… the pink, blue and purple pattern is so different and would make you stand out in a crowd.
I’m a huge fan of white on white and this matching shirt and skirt is perfect for running around to meetings in. It’s light, beautiful and most importantly comfortable. Pair it with some colourful accessories to make it pop, a bright red lip and voila you’re done. Another look I love is this black dress that I can throw on in the morning. It’s corporate, cool and classic.
I cannot wait for summer to come! I’m in love with the soft blend of pastel colours in this maxi dress, and I could honestly wear it everywhere. On a casual fun day with friends, I’d pair it with simple white sandals and a cute canvas tote, but for a Sassy Girls night out, I’d wear it with some nude heels, sparkly earrings, and maybe a nice white cardigan in case it gets chilly outdoors. How can you not love a dress that can be worn for multiple occasions? And what’s not to love about this simple white dress? I always love wearing cute girly dresses that have a little more edge, like this one. I can pair it with my black studded ankle boots, a leather jacket and a long layered chain necklace and I’m ready to go!
I can totally see this black and white dress being my summer favourite – just add statement earrings and you have a definite winner. This would be so easy to pack for that summer vacay… which I really need to start planning! I’m also a fan of the pretty white detailing on this black dress. It’s perfect for a dinner in the Southside or chilling at a rooftop bar on a summer’s eve. ‘Tell me more, tell me more’!
This blue, patterned dress is nice and casual, great for running around in on a Saturday afternoon. Worn with plain-coloured ballet flats or sandals (hello, summer!), the print certainly pops and makes a statement. I also love love love this gold dress which is perfect for a night out in LKF! I’d pair it with some black heels and a major arm party. The more bracelets and bangles, the better… right?!
