Sassy’s Guide to Hotel Wedding Venues in Hong Kong

16 August, 2014

There are hundreds upon hundreds of venues to hold your wedding in Asia’s world city, but we’ve done the research for you and found the top ten hotel wedding venues in Hong Kong. (Don’t say we don’t try and look after you!) There’s something for every wedding, whether you want a modern chic affair at the Upper House or all the drama of British colonial glamour at Hullett House-and something for every price range too. Take a look below!

Auberge Discovery Bay
Two words. Seaside chapel. Another two words. Tall ship. These perfect pairs conjure up an image of a thrilling wedding adventure on the high seas and luckily, it’s an experience you can have from the safety of Auberge Discovery Bay Hotel. This chic urban venue is perfect for a full day affair and we’ve got nothing but love for their stunning White Chapel, a pristine sanctuary for the most intimate of wedding ceremonies that overlooks the sea. Auberge Discovery Bay is also home to The Bounty, a European tall ship used in the Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins film of the same name, which you can buccaneer for your big day before retiring to one of their ballrooms for a delectable and customisable culinary experience. For a whimsical touch, you can even hire out their fairytale horse-drawn carriage to take you to their private high-tide gazebo. It seems like happily ever after isn’t such a stretch after all.

With over five different wedding venues for ceremonies of all types, there’s something for everybody with their mystical European gardens or glamorous Cantonese parlour Loong Toh Yuen. On top of a bespoke wedding package covering everything from champagne to canapés, they even hire out their most luxurious design suites for wedding photography sessions- perfect for an engagement album a cut above the rest.

Landmark Mandarin Oriental
When the Landmark Mandarin Oriental first opened a stone’s throw away from the flagship hotel on Connaught Road, the challenge for the luxury hotel chain was differentiating between them while maintaining the Mandarin Oriental’s impeccable taste and standards.
