It’s close to midnight, and something evil’s lurking in the dark… time to dust the cobwebs off those devil horns and witches hats! Halloween is nearly here, and if you still haven’t made any plans then it’s time to hit up some of the hot and happening haunted events below. Spooky celebrations will be taking place all over town and we’ve chosen some of the best parties and offers about! Whether you’re cavorting with corpses in a club or enjoying a mysterious moonlit meal, there’s loads of frightful fun to be had around Hong Kong. Any excuse to party!

THE BUTCHER'S CLUB - a steak rebellion (3)A Halloween Steak Rebellion – The Butcher’s Club
The Butcher’s Club’s successful Steak Rebellion nights are already slightly gory with hanging pig heads and bloodied butchers scattered around the huge rooftop area… but this round has upped the grisly factor with some special Halloween editions! Brickhouse is known for being one of the coolest Mexican spots in town; so of course they pull out all the stops for the day of the dead. These hipsters are sticking to the Mexican tradition, so be prepared for skulls, epic beats, fountains of tequila and their Jacinto cocktail – that is bourbon, whiskey, pumpkin and spice! Oh and did we forget to mention that they’ll be giving out 200 shots of tequila at 2am?! Talk about a party…

FASHION WALK - Time Out's styleoweenTime Out’s Halloween Styleoween
Celebrate Halloween in a sinfully stylish way at the heart of the city this month. Fashion Walk’s Styloween will be hectically fun and it’s going to be difficult to choose from all the activities they have on offer! Meet Giant McQ Bunny, exclusive on Fashion Walk, or hangout with the 5-meter-tall Skull Candy for the giant puppet parade. What’s a Halloween without a trick-or-treat sesh – join in the fun to win Lab Made ice-cream or other surprise gifts! If you’re looking for a big bash to bring in All Hallow’s Eve, then Zuma is the number one party to get to. OCEAN PARK - halloween 2014Ocean Park
We can’t not mention Hong Kong’s favourite theme park! Ocean Park goes all out every Halloween with a number of crazy new attractions that are sure to get you screeching. Their haunted house is full of terrifying ghouls, murderers and more, and trust us, they have no qualms about scaring you out of your skin! If you are brave and ready to venture, be sure to check out H14, it is said to be scariest haunted house in the park’s 14 years of Halloween Fest.

OZONEOzone Sky Party – Halloween Edition
Here at Sassy we think nothing would be spookier than a night out at the world’s highest bar OZONE… especially for anyone with vertigo! Not spooky enough? Then challenge yourselves to up the scary amp with your own costume on the 118th floor! The creepier the better – anyone who is up to OZONE’s spooky standard gains complimentary entry and a free shot of “blood”. We don’t know what their standard is, but we say… think big!

NAMO AVANT THAINamo Avant Thai
A sinfully satisfying meal will be available at Namo in TST with their Halloween specials! Guests are invited to devour gouged Eyeballs ($128) made from roasted prawns in Thai basil pesto with lychee… it might not look too appetising, but we’re sure it will taste divine (just check out our full review of them here!). Take your devilish indulgence further and opt for the Coffin Board ($198) – a platter of 3 delicious bites. Pair your feast with some cocktails to top-off the night! We’d recommend starting off easy with the Vampire’s Kiss ($98), but if you’re feeling bold, go for the Bloody Tom Yum ($98) – a spicy tomato drink with a generous amount of vodka (you’ve been warned!).

CAFE DECOCafé Deco ghoulish bites
Café Deco has prepared a series of creepy delicacies in celebration of Halloween and the menu sounds too good! To stay in sync with the festival (and if you’re feeling a little brave!), try out the Witches’ Poison Ivy Brew with Graveyard Snails – water-spinach and sorrel soup, burgundy snails and breadstick snakes! It’s going to be a spooky yet delightful Halloween for diners!

LKFLan Kwai Fong
Of course Hong Kong’s party district, Lan Kwai Fong, gets in on the Halloween action, with many of the best bars participating. Think tacky decorations and hordes of drunk and dressed up people revelling in the devilish debauchery of the evening. Check out some of the characters people have dressed up as in previous years here and simply hit the streets to enjoy the festivities!

MADAME TASSAUDSSCREAM @ Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
For a Halloween that’s full of screeching and screaming, head to Madame Tussauds and explore a cold and abandoned asylum, where you will be surrounded by wax monsters and demonic live performers. The key to escaping is using all the brain-juice and physical strength you have to! See if you can get out of this crazy maze in one piece…

SEPASEPA – Vampira
Our Sassy readers are definitely spoilt for choice this Halloween! There are so many events to choose from, but if you’re feeling thirsty then simply head to SEPA. Their Vampira night includes 2-for-1 on all cocktails and beers for three hours straight… So get your vamp on and drink away at the little Venice this scare season!

Halloween on Ship Street isn’t quite the nightmare it says it is – it’s actually more like a dream come true. You are guaranteed a glass of punch if you simply come to 22 Ships dressed in a costume. You’ll then be taken to Ham & Sherry, or “Ham & Scary”, down the street for complimentary shots! Plus, a $2,000 bar tab will go to the best dressed of the night (amazing!).
