Sassy’s Christmas Wishlist 2013

16 December, 2013

Dear Santa,

Team Sassy promises that we have been all very good this year and that we will leave you a stash of mince pies and mulled wine on December 25. In return, may we present you with our Sassy Christmas Wishlist – the presents we are hoping find their way into our stockings this year!

wishlist-collage-01Ale: I’ve been hanging onto a pretty cheap and nasty leather jacket I bought about five years ago in Madrid – the sleeves are starting to peel and there is paint on the back that I can’t seem to remove, but it’s comfortable and has served its purpose… well, until now! This Christmas, I’d really like a beautiful new leather jacket so that I can finally throw the old one out and not have to make excuses for it whenever I wear it! I am yet to find said leather jacket so I don’t have a specific one in mind, but hopefully someone with an eye for fashion is on the lookout and there will be the perfect one under my tree!

Charlotte: By Charlotte‘s jewellery symbolises new beginnings; it’s been an incredible year and I can’t wait for what’s to come in 2014. So this Lotus Harmony Necklace would be a perfect every day item for me – dainty, unique and beautiful. Let’s hope Santa/my boyfriend is reading this!

Emma: I’ve been in need of a watch for a while but nothing really caught my eye… until I saw this Kate Spade Seaport beauty! I love the fun flicker of pink on the watch face. Kate Spade never gets it wrong.

Sabrina: I simply cannot take my eyes off of this BCBG Louisa White Embroidered Dress; not only do I want it for the holiday festivities, but also for my fast approaching babymoon in Bali early next year! It’ll be just as chic with gold heels or flats in a ballroom or on a beach… This dress steals the show for me! I’m also clawing for this completely impractical but utterly adorable DVF Cat Clutch. It would be the perfect ornament dangling from my wrist for all my holiday soirees to come, and I can just imagine how many ladies would be purring over it all night. Paws off, girls – it’s mine!

Rach: I’ve had to face facts that I no longer get a chance to read as much as I used to (fun fact: I used to work in a library!); however, instead I’ve found a chic new way to sport my bookworm tendencies with one of these uber-cute, quirky handmade P.S. Besitos Book Clutches. Since my personal blog is named Through The Looking Glass, there really is no choice but the Alice In Wonderland one, right?! As for what I’ll be stashing in it… well, I’ve been lusting after Charlotte Tillbury’s The Bombshell make-up kit for far too long now, so Christmas is the perfect time to ensure it finds its into my beauty stash. Inspired by my all-time favourite film star Marilyn Monroe, this seven-piece set will keep me looking picture-perfect for all those festive Instagram snaps! I’m ready for my close-up…

Vivien: I may not be able to eat my weight in turkey stuffing this Christmas wearing this gorgeous Lanvin Gown, but I think I’m in love with it enough to pass on the stuffing… until the next day, at least! I’m obsessed with the rich red colour and there’s just enough detail on the bodice to make it interesting but not so much that I’m drowning in pattern. Just pop on a pair of statement earrings (like these Ben Amun Triple Drop ones) and I’m ready to go! Hmmm… now I just need to find an occasion to wear this!

Simran: All I want from Santa Baby this year has been the same thing I’ve wanted every year since I was four – a cocker spaniel puppy (trust me, I have several names in mind already!). I came close to my wish coming true one year… but I got given four pet turtles instead – errr… not quite the same, is it?! So is it too much to ask, St. Nick? I promise I have been extra good this year!

Jaime: My Christmas wishlist is normally defined by one word – cosy! Blankets, cashmere, slippers, pillows… nothing could excite me more. But clever relatives have spoilt me over recent years, leaving me scratching my brain for the ultimate present this yuletide – so I’ve decided an upgrade of my wilted dressing gown is in order. I’m a sucker for British brand The White Company and love nothing more than wrapping myself up in an oversized towelling robe. This January you’ll find me curled up on the sofa in this Hydrocotton Hooded Robe…fingers crossed for more cold weather!

Gaby: Although I might not be able to pull off wearing a bowtie in my everyday wardrobe… or eat pasta for every meal of the day… I am definitely on board with wearing this awesome Diana Eng Farfalle Bowtie Pasta Necklace as often as I can! They come in such bright and eye-catching designs that there’s sure to be one to go with any outfit; my favourite is the Teal Dot Enamel design. It’ll also be a great icebreaker at all those awkward Christmas gatherings!

Maura: I recently discovered Society6, which is a super cool website that works with independent artists to help them produce their artwork into throw pillows, iPhone cases and totes (to name but a few!). I have already ordered a few pillows and an iPhone case (and yes they ship to HK, sometimes for free!) so this Christmas, I am hoping this Jenny Liz Rome Pink iPad Case comes to live at my house too!

Katie: These boots were made for walking… and a whole lot more! This Christmas, I can’t wait to get my mitts on a pair of these Black Embellished Knee High Sock Boots from UK high street fave River Island. They’ll turn dowdy into glam before you can say, “Oh what shall I wear to the ball?”… And don’t worry, River Island ship to Hong Kong. So, let your legs do the talking this Christmas!

Kate: Other than the gift of sleep (that only my toddler has the ability to bestow!), I’d love to see this Mulberry Suffolk Tote wrapped up in a big red bow under my Christmas tree this year. As a long-time Mulberry bag fan, I love the durability, practicality and traditional design sensibility of this most British of brands. My battered Bayswater has done me proud over the years, toting laptops, baby swag and carry-on all over the world, but now I think it’s time to minimise my luggage lugging (and give my poor back a break!) with this Kelly Green beauty.

Natalie: As a lover of all things fashion, photography and Vogue, I would be super happy to unwrap this beauty of a coffee table book on Christmas morning – Diana Vreeland Memos: The Vogue Years. Diana Vreeland is one of my all time fashion heroines and this book promises to give a sneak peek behind the scenes of the ultimate fashion glossy, as well as being jam-packed with beautiful photos… what’s not to love?!
