Okay, it is getting kind of ridiculous how many times I hear expats (myself included) in Hong Kong say that they wait until they go to their home country to stock up on bras and underwear. Seriously, how could one city that prides itself as a shopping mecca be so pathetic when it comes to quality and affordable lingerie options?

Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely high end options if money isn’t an issue and of course super affordable stores that are life savers for stocking up on granny panties that no one will ever see but you. It is that middle area that is majorly suffering in this town and moving very gracefully into that space is newly launched Flaunt Boutique which is an online shop that specializes in helping you buy that oh so perfect pair of skivvies.

Founder Emily Ma Richardson knows this dilemma all too well and her frustration has become our lingerie dream with popular overseas brands such as Pleasure State, Cosabella and Eberjey now just a click away. The online website offers hand-picked designs that fit whatever your personality may be. Feel most confident in sexy French knickers and a lacy bra? Flaunt’s got it. Prefer a simple and practical t-shirt bra and panties? Flaunt’s got you totally covered. They also stock a wide variety of sizes from A to DD and once Emily knows your size she will even send through newly stocked items she thinks you may like. How is that for customer service?!

Emily also offers showroom hours in her Happy Valley apartment and an entire room is dedicated to her beautiful offerings. One of the things that Emily totally stresses when buying a bra is making sure you are getting the right fit and she offers complimentary bra fitting services. So many of us (myself included again!) just run into a store and pick the size they think they are and a very good majority of the time we are getting it completely wrong. I stopped by the Flaunt Showroom the other day and was kind of confident I had my bra size down pat and it turns out I was incorrect – my band size went down and my cup size went up. So now, as I type I am perky as can be in my new Pleasure State bra (see below!) that actually fits me correctly.

I am totally boring when it comes to lingerie. Black and Nude is typically the way for me although the below lovelies totally caught my eye and are so perfect for the welcoming of spring. I would definitely let some of the lace peak out on the Cosabella bra, wouldn’t you?
