Sassy Review: Institut Esthederm – Time Technology Cream

17 October, 2011

Not too long ago, I was given a pot of Institut Esthederm’s Time Technology Cream to test and review for Sassy. The timing couldn’t have worked better: I’d been under quite a bit of stress at work and my skin was showing signs of fatigue. All the concealers and highlighters in the world could not disguise my lack of sleep. Even pink rouge could not hide the greenish tinge my sallow skin had acquired.

Luckily for me, the Time Technology cream promised to “re-educate my skin” to regain its former radiance. The texture appeared richer than my usual summer creams, but sinks in easily. Even under hot weather, it does not slide or feel heavy. As far as cream analogies go, it’s closer to whipped cream than pouring cream.

The unscented cream also contains gold and violet mother of pearl minerals, which imparts a sheen to the skin when applied. I was a little wary of this at first; however, the specks of shimmer do disappear under makeup.

I couldn’t find any fault with this product, mainly because it does what it claims to do, lightening dark patches of skin while buying me time I didn’t have. It is a one-step regime: just slap on the cream all over your face, concentrating on “shadow” areas such as under expression lines. I suggest wearing sunscreen over this during the day as it does not contain any SPF.

I reckon this would be great for that awkward period between summer and autumn, like a soothing hug for your skin and a gentle caress that says ,”no need to freak out, here’s some goodness to make you glow instead”.

Esthederm can be purchased at Sasa and their Time Technology Cream costs about 588HKD
