Rue Madame Opens in ifc Mall

2 December, 2010

I am excitedly planning a big shopping spree in the new year, and I already have my destination in mind – Rue Madame‘s new ifc store! As I’ve mentioned before, I just love the French brands that Rue Madame stocks, with Maje and Sandro being old favourites and American Vintage being a brand new discovery. My shopping this year has been very limited by being pregnant, but now that my daughter is nearly 8 weeks old I’m starting to feel more like myself again (though naturally a few pounds heavier) so am ready to begin planning a big wardrobe re-vamp! My shopping list will definitely include a few of American Vintage’s fabulous t-shirts which are super-light and have that perfect oh-so-trendy distressed look as though you’ve worn it and washed it many times before. They’re perfect for layering and pairing with jeans, and the price tag is very budget friendly (Rue Madame tries very hard to keep their prices as similar to those in Paris as possible).

This “Anna” leather jacket from Maje (HK5,755) is something I would pick out for Maura, as it has that mix of ladylike chic and classic-ness (a Chanel-like shape) and a little bit of edginess that she likes.

I’m still on the lookout for the perfect Christmas party dress and this red silk “Royaume” dress from Sandro (HK1985)could just fit the bill. In fact, I’m now wishing I had it in time for Sassy Hour tomorrow. I’m a huge fan of the tea dress shape as I think it’s really flattering for curvy girls and pear shapes (like me!). Sandro is probably my favourite French brand – I have worn some of my Sandro dresses so many times they are literally falling apart… Rue Madame have lots of cute party frocks and pieces, and the great thing about getting something from there is that you can guarantee that every other girl at the party won’t be wearing the same thing!

Finally, I can never resist a good dose of French cuteness, and these little purses from Petite Mendigote might just be finding their way into Elodie’s stocking this year… With little sayings on them like “Mes Trésors Chères” (My Precious Treasures), these are just too adorable.

Sassy Discount: From today until 10 December 2010, Rue Madame is offering 10% off for all Sassy members. Just mention you are from Sassy when making your purchase!

Rue Madame ifc Mall, 8 Finance Street, Central. 2234 7880
