Oroton Check Sparkle Essential Flats

Our ears always perk up a bit when we hear about a store that carries shoes in larger sizes. We have heard over and over that it can be quite hard in the shoe buying department if you are over a 39 so having a few tried and true stores that consistently carry larger sizes is a huge plus in our book. So with that being said, we were a very captive audience the other week when we were told that Oroton, the Australian accessories brand that recently opened in the ifc mall, prides itself on carrying their flats in sizes 35-42.

Personally I am quite lucky in that I have a medium size foot (good news is my size is typically readily available, which means bad news for my credit card) so for me I have to be sold on the look of the shoe rather then the fact that they have a wide variety of sizes. Oroton’s essential flats are made from their signature jacquard fabric, and my personal favourite from the line is their sparkle style which is embellished with sequins and feature a patent leather trim at the heel for that extra bit of shine.

At $1,800 I think this is the type of flat that you would wear over and over again and you can dress them up or down depending on your outfit. This particular shoe comes in black or milk-taupe and I have a pretty strong preference for the taupe as it is a colour that is currently missing a bit of love in my shoe closet…
