Melissa Shoes

17 March, 2010

Have you heard about Melissa Shoes? If not, then you must check out this line of plastic footwear ASAP!  Melissa Shoes are totally eco-friendly (made of recycled plastic – Melflex) and are absolutely adorable with girly meets funky designs.  These ultra comfortable (I promise no blisters!) Brazilian made shoes are becoming all the rage and are now being sold in stores like Lane Crawford here in Hong Kong.

When you hear plastic shoes, I’m sure the image of flat jelly’s immediately pops into your mind.  Melissa Shoes are much more fashion forward, in fact, these plastics come in all types including heels, booties, wedges, peep-toes, and yes flats!

Melissa Shoes have been around for over 30 years (launched during the heart of the 80’s) and have collaborated with talented designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and more recently with Vivienne Westwood.  They’ve been spotted on the pages of every power house fashion magazine including Vogue.  And now that they are available here in Hong Kong, I can’t wait to get them on my feet!

If you thought owning a pair of Melissa Shoes was a must because they are so great for the environment and because they are just too cute, then you’ll find this to be an added bonus— the shoes all have a fruity scent!
